Why Coaching?

Everybody can make use of professional coaching - even elite-level athletes need guidance to ensure they can achieve their full potential.
Is a coach worth it?

A good coach has already walked the road. They’ve already witnessed others making mistakes and using bad form, while they have made errors of their own and learned to overcome them. It can take an athlete years to realise they are even making these mistakes, and some of them can result in lasting damage and bad habits that are hard to break.
Why put yourself through all that when you don’t have to? Why not bypass years of trial and error and leap ahead, greatly enhancing your potential and rate of progression?
With R-Training, we can help you do just that.

But I can train myself?

Of course you can, and people can and do achieve many things by themselves, but you can achieve much greater things more quickly with the right knowledge, advice, guidance and understanding behind you.
Every top athlete has a coach, from premiership footballers to Olympic champions. Their goals may be the top prizes at an elite level, but why should yours be taken any less seriously? Your goals are important to you, and if you truly want to achieve them you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage by trying to go it alone.

But there is lots of information online I can learn from?

You may be thinking “I can train myself” or “I can go online or buy a book,” and this is true! You can do those things and you can make some form of progress. However, there is a great deal of poor or incorrect information out there, while the good can be extremely hard to find. Even once you have filtered out all the bad advice you are often left with information that is incomplete and generic, leaving you frustrated, discouraged and confused. You can read the finest textbook and it may contain solid principles, but that book will not be able to adapt to you because it is written for the masses. A coach can take those principles and your goals and create a regime that works for you.

At R-training we adapt everything to the client. Maybe you only have 45 minutes to work out, or you can only find time for a certain number of sessions per week? Perhaps you have an injury that makes certain exercises unsuitable? We all have our own needs and our own circumstances, so your coaching should always be personal to you.
Missing your targets and failing to see the progress you want can leave you deflated, and many people end up quitting when they put in weeks and months of hard work just to see minimal payoff at the end.
If you have the motivation and the mindset to achieve your goals, the only thing stopping you is knowing how to get there. At R-Training we have the ability to draw the map to where you want to go, and we know the best route to get there.
